On Friday I took the day off to spend time with Fuller at the Tennessee Aquarium expansion opening. We didn’t actually go into the new aquarium, but we enjoyed the opening festivities- the Parade of Fishes, the Stiltwalker, the Skyjumper, music by the Chattanooga Boys and Girls Choirs (yes, they sang “Under the Sea”), and some free Little Debbies and Mayfield ice cream.
Enjoy the pictures- they are under the set Aquarium Opening. (Click on the picture to get to our Flickr photostream.)

The power just went out, so I thought I should blog about it while I wait for it to come back on.
Both D and Fuller are asleep. Guess I should go now too.
Updated: Power back on by 9:42 pm. It is weird when the power is out like that. All the white noise of the house goes quiet and it is hard to concentrate on anything (like sleep) until the power comes back on.

Today my father is leaving to spend the next 4 months in Iraq.
When I was a freshman in high school I was sitting in my biology class when the principal spoke over the PA system and called me to the office. Daddy was leaving for the Gulf War and our family was going to spend a few more hours together before he left.
The six months that he was gone are etched with memories of me changing and trying to find my place as a high schooler. I acted out by sneaking out of the house one night, and I argued with my father via letters about dropping my typing class. (I didn?t get to.) I had one boyfriend when he left and when he returned I had another one (a senior!).
This time, Daddy is a grandfather to the cutest redhead in the world. He has no children living at home, and I promise not to email him asking to drop my typing class. Just the fact that he will have email and internet access is a big thing for me. He will get to check the Daily Fuller Fix and see his grandson grow as the months pass.

It has been brought to my attention that there are some people that I went to high school with that currently read my blog. No big deal. I just want to say “HI!” to all those fun people from AFCent (now AFNorth) and maybe you could comment or send me an email sometime just so I know who you are?
(Tiffany and that guy that I went out with but I won’t mention his name because my mother would freak out, you are exempt.)

Ever since Mother Nature went menopausal on Saturday, I have been dealing with a stuffy nose that doesn’t want to give me relief. I don’t understand how my nose can be stuffy but it still runs.
It has also been affecting my ability to concentrate, which is why I haven’t finished updating from the weekend. I will, I promise.

If you want to sleep in, the baby wakes up an hour early. (No snooze button either!)
If you want to wake up early, the baby sleeps in.
If this isn’t a Murphy’s law, it should be.

When we left the last entry, I said it should be a fun day.
I was right!
My Uncle had invited us to his house on Lake Martin. To be clear, my in-laws have a house also on Lake Martin, but it is on the other side. If Lake Martin was the United States, my uncle?s house would be in the New York and my in-laws house would be in San Francisco.
Anyway? invitation to Lake Martin at my Uncle?s lake house.

Ok, my grandmother’s PC has been “fixed” so i can now blog faster here. I have been using my Treo 650 at the gymnastics finals to update, but I started to get a headache looking at the screen for too long.
The vacation part of this trip to Auburn has been lots of fun and relaxing. When we (Daddy, Fuller, & myself) got here Thursday we unloaded and I immediately left for session one. My grandmother is thrilled to have us visiting.

Well, I’m a little late to tonight’s session. We are in the 3rd round and tonight Leah is my guide.
Leah is watching Bama b/c her favorite gymnast goes there - Terin Humphrey. I don’t hqve high hopes for Bama. They keep wobbling. BUTthey brought their band tonight. Bama is the only team with musical support.
If you haven’t noticed, I’m not reporting scores. That’s because this is all very difficult to follow and blog about at the same time. Plus, it doesn’t mean alot to me. The most gymnastics experience I have is the one season I took beginning tumbling.
Oh, big news. Courtney Kupets is sitting 2 rows ahead of me. The little girls in front of me are about to pee their pants. She appears to be cheering for the GymDawgs. (Yes, that’s what they are called.) GA is currently on vault. For those of you following along, we are in the 4th round.
Live blogging is hard. So, I plan on getting back to watching. More later.
