Cool Aunt Stina is visiting this week. She needed a break from the heat up north, so she came down south for the heat AND humidity.

We haven?t been doing too much since D and I still have to keep up our day jobs, but Austina has been enjoying quality time with her favorite nephew. On Tuesday she whisked him away for a full day on Lookout Mountain, visiting friends.

The children played with Fuller, making him laugh and feel like he was on top of the world. They swam (one of Fuller?s favorite summer time activities) and generally had lots of fun until Fuller fell asleep, exhausted by the pressure of being the awesome kid that he is. After he finished napping they came home. He was gone all day and it was great to see him when he came home. I really missed him!

We do plan on exploiting Austina?s kindness by going to a movie Friday while she keeps the kid. But, in all fairness, she and I are going to a movie tonight, just us gals.

Last night she and I hung out at McKay?s. We were trying to find the Anne Lamott book, Operating Instructions. I didn?t find it, but I found her book Blue Shoe, so that will tide me over until Operating Instructions turns up.

And today, Aunt Stina will keep up her coolness factor by braving the Tennessee Aquarium with Fuller at her side. Or in front of her, if he is in a stroller. I think we have a guest blogger entry in the works. We shall see.
