I am not responsible for anything that I do today.

Until I get a nap.

Fuller woke up at 4:45 am. This is not typical. Until yesterday, Fuller was sleeping until 6:30 every morning. Yesterday he woke up at 5:30. Today 4:45 am.

I rocked him, sang to him, and even though he was calm, he did not want to go back to sleep. So he had a bottle, pooped his pants, I changed him, and now, at 6:01, he has gone back to sleep.

Now, please excuse me while I go get ready for the day that I do not take responsibility for.

Good vs. Cheap Palindromes

Alli just posted regarding this reference to a “famous palindrome” that may or may not have been created or at least posted by the Aaron Belz many of us know from Covenant College.

I hope the Aaron we know wasn’t the author of that palindrome because I think the author kinda took the easy way out. He basically just made that girl’s last name a combination of all the letters he couldn’t stick somewhere else – very amateurish and indicative of 95% of English palindromes. (In essence, a computer could produce a hundred other similar ones)

Moving on up…

Published by under momma monologues

Fuller is getting bigger, stronger, and smarter. He wears 18 month clothing now. He can pull him self up and almost stand on his own (I swear he did it last night. Damon says he didn’t, but I swear he was standing on his own). And he can tell the difference between a fake TV remote and a real TV remote.

This past Saturday we put away things that we thought were too young for him and we are thinking about his developmental stages and what kind of toys and stimulation he needs now. I put away most of his bottles and am in the process of replacing them with the W@l-M@art brand 97 cent sippy cups.

As I go through this process, I wonder how much do I need and what other things should I be looking for? When Fuller was in utero you couldn’t pass a baby section in any store and not see a list of items you need to prepare for baby. Now that Fuller is approaching those toddler years, I wonder how prepared we are.

So, other parents, I am asking you… how many sippy cups? What toys are your 8 – 12 month olds playing with? What do you think is needed to survive the beginning of toddler time?

I am not a programmer

Ok, I obviously am not understanding some things. For one, I don’t get margins. I mean, I get them, but I am not getting them in the stylesheet. I change them, rebuild, and still I see no difference. I finally got the banner at the top like I wanted, but what I want to see is the blog directly beneath that, not going beyond the edges of my banner. And I messed up my categories archive. And I am about to scrap it all and go back to good old Georgia Blue (which is what I used to begin with and doctored it up to the orange stuff before). Bleah.

Anyone want to do this for me? Or hold my hand? (And not D. He is too busy.)
