Darling Darla

Published by mrscrumley at 7:02 am under a day in the life

Darla.jpg Meet Darla. She is my new friend!

I got her through the free iPod shuffle offer on audible.com. If you are someone who likes audio books, especially for long car trips and such, and you are hankering to become your own pod person, this is a great little deal (if you have joined audible in the past and want to rejoin, you have to use a different credit card than previously). Word of advice though- don’t try burning the audiobook to a CD-RW and try to listen to it in your car. It probably won’t work. A CD-R will, but not a CD-RW.

Now Darla is showing me how old my music collection is and how I need to request gift certificates for music for my birthday. My 29th birthday should be all about the music. At least, that is what Darla is telling me. And I listen to Darla a lot.

hee. That was a little pun. And I think it is time for the coffee.

We had a shuffle once. It was great, it allowed me to study in the commuter lounger without having to listen to people talk on their cell phones really loud. But, alas Nat took it swimming and it died. FYI you can NOT jump in the pool or any other body of water with your shuffle.
Enjoy Darla, I miss having my own Darla.

the CD-R/RW thing all depends on your CD playa. our old one wont even do CD-Rs.

S-G, I knew about your loss, and I am sorry. Maybe, since Nat likes audiobooks for the car, you guys could join audible for six months. And give me credit. He can get biographies and history books galore- two books a month! For $20ish dollars. It’s a pretty good deal.

What is your user name? I went to sign up but I didn’t know what your user name was.
