Falling back

Published by mrscrumley at 7:46 pm under a day in the life

We remembered to change our clocks last night, but someone forgot to tell Fuller. He woke up at 5:30 this morning and screwed up our morning routine. Silly kid.

But, I feel triumphant because I was able to keep him up until 7:30 this evening, which is his normal bedtime, but it felt an hour later to him.

Man I hope this works. If he sleeps until 6 tomorrow morning, I predict a happy halloween.

How do you tell your child, who cannot read the man-made clock, about the time change?

We weren’t that routined last time change, so it didn’t matter. This one, I had the brilliant plan of modifying Kate’s bedtime, etc. 15 minutes at a time starting two days before, but I forgot. She’s woken up at 6a the last two mornings. (She usually gets up between 7 and 8:30, usually about 7:45ish).

If you figure it out let me know, this time change always ends up kicking my butt, her internal clock messes up every year.

I don’t think we have it figured out, but he slept until 7:30 this morning. That’s fine with me!
