Fuller is now officially a toddler, having declared himself a bi-ped by mastering the art of walking. He really got the hang of it while we were camping and now he enjoys marching from room to room.
However, there is another development skill that he needs to learn fast- how to judge head room.
To Fuller, there is nothing above eye level when he is going forward. Yesterday I watched him smack his head not once, but twice, on our dining room table. Once was on the left side of his head, the second was on the right side of his head.
He has also been known to crawl under something and then try to stand straight up, resulting in hitting his noggin. And then he would sit down, wimper and stand straight up again. Rinse, repeat until full on wailing commences.
Fuller loves to explore and I am glad that he is walking from expedition to expedition, I just wish he didn’t have so many bruises to show for them.

Last Tuesday, at lunch, my little sister, Sarah-Ginny, the speech major, the newly smart one, told me that a story I told was too long.
So, in the interest of following my smart sister?s advice, here is what went down on the first day of our trip:
We went to Florida.

It is 6:54 and I am 75% ready for work. I just wanted to pop in and tell you that I am tired. I wish, wish, wish I could go back to sleep, but someone scheduled me for a morning meeting and that is that.
Vacation blogging and updated pics will come later.
Oh, and if you don’t know why I am tired, just check out the previous entry and the comments for the explanation.

Remember when I said the Charlotte-Douglass airport was a mess? Well that mess has canceled our flight. I am waiting with Fuller, who has blessed us by being only minimally fussy, while Damon is in line to figure out what is what.
The weather outside is frightful, the airport is less than delightful.
Fuller is crying out… I am trying not to pout.

Hi from Charlotte, NC! How was your Thanksgiving?
We are en route back to Chattanooga with a 3 hour (approximately) layover in Charlotte. (Gotta love Priceline.) Damon is currently rolling Fuller around the terminal, trying to coax him into taking a nap of some sort.
The Charlotte-Douglas International Airport is kind of in chaos right now since the weather here is really crappy. Apparently several flights have been canceled or missing crew because of other flight delays.
I have proper updates to fill in the blogging gap from when we were camping and giving thanks with family, but those will come later.
Right now I want to brag on my baby and husband, who are just excellent traveling companions.
Fuller was up at 4 am this morning and just had a ball toddling around the gate in West Palm Beach until we boarded. Soon after take off he was asleep. And until about 3 minutes ago, he has been peacefully playing in his stroller. We can tell he is tired (as are we), but we know that if he doesn’t nap before our 12:15 flight, he will fall asleep on the plane, probably waking up as we are landing.
Damon has been great at watching Fuller, helping keep him calm between flights, and holding Fuller in his lap while we are in the air. This has been one of the more enjoyable trips traveled by air that I have encountered.
Well, like I said, proper updates to come later. I have some web surfing to catch up on. (There is no internet access in the state park. What is up with that?)
P.S. I just added two of our pictures from the trip to our Flickr album. Just a tease until we can get them all up for your viewing pleasure.
