A PSA

Published by mrscrumley at 10:43 am under putting the web back in weblog

I?ve mentioned the clubmom bloggers before, but I don?t think I ever mentioned Jennifer. A while back Jennifer opened up to the internet about her struggle with alcoholism. She wrote a series of entries describing where alcoholism took her and the journey she took to be where she is today.

I really respect Jennifer and her openness on the topic. It was scary for her and some of the aftermath of those entries really affected her family and their plans to adopt from China.

I?ve known a few recovering addicts in my short life. I recently caught up with a high school classmate who told me his story of hitting bottom and how he has been blessed by God to have the life he has now.

I know there are Alcohol Rehab or Drug Rehab centers every where and their treatment programs have changed many lives. If you know someone who is struggling with an addiction, please try to get him or her some sort of help. Treatment centers, like The Passages, help individuals uncover their problems and overcome their addictions.

Like they say on TV, the more you know?

Hi..thanks for the mention. It’s important to let people know about addiction links, so thanks for doing that.
