Letters from the road

Dear Exxon Marketing,

If there is an Exxon at a certain exit in Kentucky, an exit that is full of other gas stations and many fast food restaurants, then you should shell out whatever bucks are required to get your sign on blue signs alerting motorists what is coming up at the next exit.

When a motorist is looking specifically for Exxons and wants to stop to eat, it is very disappointing to drive by an exit and see an Exxon to the immediate right of the exit ramp. That motorist would have stopped at that exit, been able to gas up, eat breakfast, and let her little boy run around the McDonald’s playland (who cares if it was 28 degrees?) for a little while.

Instead, the motorist was forced to drive two more hours until an Exxon was found.

Exxon, get your advertising act together.

Sincerely,
The motorist who was pissed that she could have gotten off at a perfectly good exit and had to drive two hours until a not so great exit could be found. She didn’t get any coffee until 10:30 am! Will there be compensation?

Dear UPromise,

Find another gas station who will partner with you. One that has many gas stations along I75 in Kentucky. Like Shell or Chevron.

Pretty please?

Sincerely,
The motorist who is currently mad at Exxon

Dear I75 through Kentucky,

Your roadways were free of construction, congestion, and whatever else might have caused us delays. The scenery was nice as well. Good work!

Sincerely,
The motorists heading to Ohio today

Dear McDonalds,
If you have restaurants along a heavily traveled highway, a highway with many traveling families, you should feel obligated to provide a playground at every restaurant.

Two year olds who expect to play when released from four hours in a car seat are very upset when they don’t get to play.

Sincerely,
The traveling family with a two year old who stopped at a McDonalds without a playground. Who knew those still existed?

P.S. Your coffee was ok. I still like Greyfriar’s better.
