Damon’s favorite thing to do
Last week our family spent Sunday with friends celebrating the baptism of their daughter. We went to their church and then to a brunch at a home on Lookout Mountain.
It was a pretty intense morning for Fuller- lots of new places, lots of playing, and new kids to hang around. By noon he was hanging by a pinky from the cliff of happiness looking at the abyss of misery that goes with toddler overstimulation.
When we drove down the mountain and headed home, Fuller fell asleep. Damon carefully carried Fuller from the car to his bed so Fuller could finish his nap. As Damon left the bedroom, he closed the door and said, “Carrying Fuller from the car to his bed, while he is still asleep, is my favorite thing to do.”
Happy Father’s Day, Damon. May you have many more opportunities to carry our son from the car to his bed.

I remember those days. Happy Father’s Day Son.
That’s sweet. When Fuller gets older, he’ll probably love it too… I remember the days of pretending to be asleep so I could get carried inside.
I pretended to be asleep too, but it didn’t work very often because I was the oldest! I had to get up and walk in. But I did love it!
Did you really post this at 4 am?
