104 cans
I survived yesterday. And I had so much fun at the same time!
Fuller and I took off for Atlanta to visit with the Blog America Tour gang (Ted, Ashley, and Travis).
Part of Ted’s vision for this tour was to meet posties and to help gather food for area food banks. With the help of their sponsor, iRobot, the challenge was this: the postie to bring the most cans of food to each stop would win the newest Roomba 500.
Ok, I know. I will stop right there. I already own a Roomba! I love my Roomba. I am a walking advertisement for Roomba. It has changed our family’s lifestyle considerably.
Well, I really wanted to meet the BAT guys so I decided to go down there. And take cans of food. The night before, when BAT stopped in Tampa, Colleen took 100 cans.
Colleen is the top earner for PayPerPost. She is an excellent blogger, a good friend, and a lot of fun. (I get to meet her next week!) When she went to the Tampa gathering she took 100 cans. She won the Roomba 500!
I figured, if I can’t beat Colleen in earnings, why not beat her in canned food? So I took 104 cans.
Honestly, I was the only postie at the CNN center stop, so if I took two cans of food I would probably have brought home the Roomba I didn’t need. But it was fun to beat Colleen at something and great to give something to the Atlanta Food Bank. And the new roomba is charging right now. We might do a battle of the roombas later.

You crack me up with your 108 cans! Can’t wait to hug your neck in Vegas!
That is hilarious. Where did you get all that?
By hug your neck, she means ring your neck for beating her! And feel free to ship me your extra roomba
Can’t wait to see you in Vegas! Only a few more days!
