Christmas conundrum
Two of our neighbors have put up their outdoor Christmas decorations and once again it leaves me wondering… should we even bother?
If the answer is yes, then I have some work to do tomorrow. If the answer is no, then cool.
When we travel for the holidays, the mood doesn’t alway strike for me to set up the tree and decorate. And this year we are leaving earlier than in years past (and staying longer) so it really seems silly to drag it all out. But there is a pile of wrapped presents in the corner that look out of place without a tree all lit up for the season.
It is a conundrum.
Maybe I can find a compromise somehow. Any suggestions?

YES, decorate it is a nice seasonal change and it makes things cheery. Do it!
Since you will be out of town you don’t have
to decorate alot but I would for sure do
something to give you some cheer ….
I think I would at least put something up, but I wouldn’t go all out decorating when you won’t be there during the actual holiday. Still you’ll be there for awhile during the season!
One year when the kids were little we pinned a couple strings of lights to the wall in the shape of a Christmas tree. I thought it looked nice. It gave us a place to pile the gifts.
Since noone will be with us at Christmas Albert doesn’t want to go to the trouble but I am going to put a few things out around the house so it will look a little like Christmas just for us.
