SEC Tournament canceled for us
We woke up this morning, and started to flipped the hotel TV channels to figure out what would happen today. We left the Georgia Dome soon after the cancelation announcement of the Georgia/ Kentucky game. Damon searched the internet and found the news on ESPN that three games would be played today, at the Georgia Tech stadium. Only family members, cheerleaders, and media would be allowed for the remainder of the tournament, so our tickets are no longer good.
We thought about just heading home to Chattanooga today, but with the threat of more severe weather heading our way, especially along the path we would drive home, we are staying put until tomorrow.
So right now we are listening to the game online, resting, and planning on a swim later today. We would love to find a place to watch the semi-final games on TV, since our hotel TV doesn’t carry the channel the games are on.
I have to admit we are a bit disappointed to not get to see the last four games. Even though Auburn is no longer in the tournament, it is still very exciting to see these games in person. And then to not have the games on TV (WATL is showing the ACC games, losers), well it is a bit of a let down.
I supposed we should be happy we are all safe and sound, have a hotel to stay in, and will be able to return home tomorrow.

I know it might be a little late (I don’t know what time any of the games come on, as I’m not a sports fan) but try Famous Pub in the Toco Hills shopping center. My boyfriend goes there to watch UT games when they aren’t on any local TV stations.
Amber, thanks for the info! We will keep that in mind for future tournaments. We really like Decatur and our hotel, so it might become “our hotel.” We ended up at Taco Mac and watched the end of the UT game there.
