Oh, yeah, Alli, I forgot to tell you. Last night, I totally thought up an idea for next year to top this one: We need to have a multi-day medieval Arthurian quest that the kids do. We can get the adults to dress up as characters that give the kids (dressed as adventurers) tasks that they have to complete towards some overall quest. We could even recount the whole event in a fairytale storybook that we could get printed at one of those online book printers.

Hmmm… you know… I really am the best uncle ever.

wow. what a great idea!
my most memorable bday was when i was 10 and i went on a treasure hunt for my teddy bear Herman (who now holds the place on honor in the boys room).
