Chattanooga 1, Hunstville 0

Published by dword at 2:17 pm under a day in the life

Not to be a poor sport or anything, but MAN, how cool was today’s announcement? For weeks, rumors that Volkswagen would be selecting Huntsville over Chattanooga have abounded. Let’s hear it for the underdogs!

After reading the breaking news at 11:00 AM, we realized we had just enough time to dash over to the Hunter Museum for the 11:30 official announcement. We’ve added a Flickr set, here. They even gave away gift bags afterwards.

Achtung Baby!

I figured it would be Chatt. Huntsville already has more than they can handle with infrastruture. Ala and GA will probably benefit some from this. Congratulations.

I’m just going to smile and nod and pretend like I know what you’re talking about. Because I really stopped by to say how much I like this picture of you guys. Alli, you look gorgeous darling!

Thanks for the kind “gorgeous” comment, Jenn!

Really, I wouldn’t have looked like this if I hadn’t had a dentist appointment this morning and then a museum date with Fuller. The fact we were already downtown was what made it really possible for all of us to go to the press conference. It was fun to be part of this historic announcement. And the free swag was icing on the cake.

Thanks Carrie! I got my hair cut on Saturday and today was the first day I really did anything to it.
