I agree. They also cut down on diaper rash because they breathe. Of course, you have to change them more often. But that gives you more time to coo coo. (or however you spell baby talk) Except when traveling and at the lake. Disposal there are best.

Sarah, I don’t know if you know Rebecca (I think we were at Covenant with her sister), but she has a great post about her cloth diapering system. She also switched after her child was over a year (or almost a year) old.

I agree with both of your friends. Cloth diapers make wonderful dusting and cleaning rags,when they have done their baby time. My vote is—-CLOTH DIAPERS.

Sarah's idea is great. I have a friend too who used cloth diapers and for her shower, we were asked instead of bring disposable, we should give money instead for cloth diapers. She has had baby number two and she has saved a lot of money. Of course it cannot work for me since the daycare does not accept cloth diapers. graces last blog post..Fitness on Friday

that is so funny. i am just now thinking about switching to cloth for nathaniel (#2 who is almost 1) i just hate spending money on disposable – plus i cringe every time i think that it will take about 200 years for each diaper to decompose. yuck!
so we may make the change too.
i bet if you told people who want to give you gifts that you would rather have money for cloth diapers they would do that for you.
