Good trip

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Fuller is an excellent car tripper. I do not blink when it comes to putting him in his car seat for several hours. And before you think all we do is put him in the car seat, fire up the DVD player and go, I’ll let you know Fuller doesn’t get to watch movies right out of the gate.

Here are some ways Fuller amused himself in our trip home on Thursday:

Played with his “laptop”, a toy that deserves its own entry.

Used his laptop and a car as a “map” (aka GPS) to tell me where to go. And getting a tad upset when I wouldn’t turn left on I 71.
Directing his own in-car spelling bee. He was the pronouncer and I was the only contestant. Often he would type the words into his laptop (which was in the off position).

Sang songs he knew when they came up on the iPod.

Complained the Happy Donald’s toy he got wasn’t the same one the boy at McDonald’s had. Accepted my explanation that we had no control over what toy the man puts in the bag.
Pointed to every Happy Donald’s we passed.
    Read books.
Pointed at planes, declaring we would be getting on one tomorrow.
    Took a nap.

Our next road trip will be back South to the land of Tigers and football. He likes to go, so I’m thrilled to give him these opportunities.

I know Fuller missed it on the trip — but, Rejoice! The yellow car is found. On the living room floor behind one of the ferns between the yellow chairs.
    Will send it.
