Regroup, recover, recharge
Last week Fuller and I spent most of our week visiting my Grandma (aka Grandma Grape, aka Grandma Great… we are working on Fuller’s pronunciation). The week was fun in various ways, from just spending time with Grandma, to seeing Fuller interact with my young cousins, visiting Kroger, and checking out the Auburn Raptor Center.
On Friday, Damon joined us in Auburn. He got there in time to see the Raptor Center and enjoy an extended family meal at Provino’s. He even met my “Aunt” Peggy (she is no longer my aunt, but I still think of her like that), with whom he has some things in common. They both went to the same high school (years apart) and are Auburn fans.
Saturday was the Auburn game and Fuller had some one on one time with Grandma. D and I were sunburned (me more than him) and then soaked in the third quarter. Afterward we packed up and headed home to Chattanooga.
It was quite an exhausting end to the week, so we tried to have a quiet Sunday and recover. And today I spent trying to recharge and regroup, since I will be leaving again on Thursday. Fuller has bounced back rather quickly, since his daily agenda seems to be playing and more playing. He might have a few meals in there, but really he is all about the playtime. Maybe tomorrow, he can also be about folding laundry.
