“Get on an airplane and go bye”

Published by mrscrumley at 2:48 am under a day in the life, choose your own adventure

Last night when we started Fuller’s bedtime routine, we reviewed what would happen today.

“Fuller and Daddy drop Mommy off at the shuttle, you get on airplane and go bye.”

“Yes, I get on an airplane and go bye.”

Then Fuller launched into an unprecedented* performance of “But, I’ll missssssssssss you!” He added tears and everything.

I think he was just tired and wanting to avoid picking up his toys.

But yes, today (in about thirty minutes actually) I get on an airplane and go bye.

Last year, I headed to Las Vegas. This year, I’m just jaunting down to Orlando for Izeafest. I’ll see friends I met last year and meet up with friends I haven’t met yet. Most of my blogging will be done on Always, Alli and of course I will be twittering my trip.

I have no idea what Damon and Fuller will do except sit in the living room and mourn my disappearance. I think they know how to make frozen pizza, but who knows? Someone who knows them may have to stop by and snap them out of their “Mommy’s gone” zombie like existence and get them a few veggies once in a while.

I kid. Actually, I know they are looking forward to this time together, just being “the guys.” It will be like a non-stop frat party without the booze and drunk sorority girls. I’m sure I’ll have plenty of laundry to do when I get home.

*Fuller never misses us. He practically pushes us out the door sometimes.
