Give thanks

Published by at 11:02 pm under conversations & observations

This month, I’ve been inspired by Tulip Girl‘s log of daily thanks. Today in church, our small 8:30 service was brimming with thanks during the offering. One of the people who stood up reminded us of the Corrie ten Boom story and how Corrie and her sister Betsie had such thankful hearts, that while they were in their prison camp, they gave thanks to the Lord for fleas. The fleas that swarmed them and the other prisoners kept the guards from bothering them, allowing the women to lead Bible studies without fear.

As Thanksgiving approaches, we have been talking to Fuller about what it means to give thanks. And in that spirit, I too want to share some of the things I am thankful for:

~a creative husband who enjoys being creative and encouraging my own creativity
~Fuller’s excitement for a new baby
~baking as a mother/ son activity
~a working humidifier
~the excitement of anticipated travel to see lots and lots of family

Bundle of joy
