Blogging Tapas: weekend edition

Published by at 11:17 pm under conversations & observations

~ People keep asking and I hate to tell you, but no, we don’t have a name for Baby Two. We have ideas and suggestions, but we keep those to ourselves because we don’t want to taint the process by your reactions. Also, in case you aren’t aware, since the baby is a boy, Damon is in charge of naming the baby. We have a premarital arrangement where Damon names the boys and I name the girls. And no, I don’t have veto power.

~ Thursday we are getting new carpet installed in Fuller’s room. After that happens, we will start arranging it so Fuller’s room transforms into The Boys Room. While it won’t resemble a frat house for several years (I hope!), it will be a challenge to fit both boys and their stuff into that room.

~ I have recently changed up the spaghetti recipe our family uses. It is simply angel hair pasta, spaghetti sauce from a jar, and meatballs. Before I added the meatballs (purchased from the frozen section), I used to just brown some ground beef and add it to the sauce, but a friend recently mentioned a crock pot recipe she made with frozen meatballs. That casual mention led to a craving which led my family to happy food dances when I make spaghetti and meatballs. Oh, and Fuller still prefers his spaghetti sans sauce. Just noodles and cheese for him.

~ I wish Fuller wouldn’t watch the weather on T.V. If he hears the word “snow” he thinks it will snow and is very disappointed when I explain the snow is meant for more Northern locations. I’m not sure where he developed this trust for meteorologists, but if he believes them every time they say “snow” he will live a long life of disappointment.

~ We started back to a normal Sunday schedule today. Which meant Fuller overslept by 20 minutes. This caused me to shift into rush mode, getting Fuller fed and all of us dressed and out the door to make it to church by 8:30. Except we made it to church by 8:20. Oversleeping didn’t make us late!

I’d have to have veto power. No way I’d let my husband name a kid that was rolling around inside me for that long without my approval. Haha.
