I’m so proud of you ~ making it to national television! Wow! All without leaving your home. I was impressed by you updating everyone even in labor. I didn’t think it went ‘too far’ ~ you certainly didn’t neglect your child and many folks were interested and checking for updates. I thought it was cool!

I thought the interview was interesting ( and YOU looked great!) but I was disappointed that they left out one of the most important reasons I’m on facebook and blogs ~ my kids/grandkids live far away and I can see and hear about them. I think a lot of young moms want to keep in touch with family and friends and thier families don’t live near enough to 1st hand share those momentous occasions. Like my husband and I recently ‘attended’ our grandson’s 3rd birthday party from our living room via webcam. I think besides reaching out and sharing with internet connections of folks you know only via internet it’s really important in helping families remain connected that aren’t/can’t be close geographiclly.

Cindy- thanks so much! I have to give props to Damon though. When things got to intense for me to keep twittering on my own, Damon took over. This delighted many of my followers and friends because he can be much wittier in 140 characters than I can be.

Also, you make an excellent point about the family connection. They left it out, but in my interview I did say the main reason we started our family blog was because we have no family in this area and wanted to keep them all up to date. My dad left for Iraq soon after Fuller was born and I loved putting Fuller’s pictue up on the blog so my dad could see his first grandchild grow during those early months.

You did such an awesome job. You looked very calm and collected. I can remember you Tweeting during your labor, how exciting for all of us that were following you! You share just enough so that it’s as if I know you. I especially like your Flickr photos as well as your blog and Twitter account.

The point of keeping updated for family is VERY important. Tebow and Fuller are my great grandsons and I so much appreciate every picture and word. Keep it up. The Skype program is great also since my only daughter is in Nigeria for 6 months. At age 86 I guess I’m a digital grandma!

    Grandma,
You know, they left that part out too. I always tell people how connected you are (you are on facebook!) and how you were the very first person I knew with a personal computer. I remember you bringing it with you from New Mexico to Arizona when you visited us. Not an easy feat back then.

    Loretta,
Thanks for the pretty hair comment. I got a lot of those kinds of comments that day. It was so much fun!
