Wedding Weekend Wrap-up

Published by at 7:50 am under choose your own adventure

This weekend was a bit of a whirlwind, and I’m not talking about all the nasty weather that blew through the southeast. This weekend this:

More family

became this:

The whole family

Aunt Stina married David and now we have a new Brother-in-law/ Uncle, one new nephew, and two new nieces!

As far as weddings go, it was a good one. One seriously funny moment occurred when it was time for Austina and David to declare their intentions. You know, the part where one person says, “I, [state your name], take you, [state the other name]…” Well the guy goes first and when McDad was telling David to repeat after him, instead of David doing the repeating, Austina pipes up, “I, David…” It was a true ROFL moment.

Wedding kids (aka diaper brigade)

Even though this picture doesn’t express it, Fuller told us his favorite part of the wedding was walking down the aisle holding Genevieve’s hand. He did an excellent job, being very serious about his job. This was a relief to this mom who only saw him being silly during the rehearsal. Damon did an excellent job of getting Fuller ready for his ring bearer debut.

Brothers in wedding attire

Weddings mean family, and this weekend lots of family got to meet Tebow for the first time. I know he was held by lots of people and he behaved most of the time, so I think their overall impression was probably, “That Tebow is AWESOME!” I think he is (especially since we have turned a corner in the sleep department), so why shouldn’t other people?

You can see lot more pictures on flickr. They are currently unorganized and not all titled, but I think you can tell from the happy colors and happy faces, it was a good, happy weekend.

One last kiss before heading off

Congratulations David and Austina! We are so glad we could be a part of your wonderful weekend.

Yeah! I was so proud of Fuller & Genevieve and so glad they could be a special part of my special day. I just wish I could have spent more time with folks–but such is the wedding weekend for the bride & groom.

Great pictures. I loved Austina’s wedding dress and her going away dress.
