This edition of Blogging Tapas is extra meaty- we have pictures!

~ Last Tuesday our little family ventured out to AT&T Field to see the season opener of the Lookouts. They were playing the Montgomery Biscuits, which was important since Damon grew up in Montgomery. We were excited to see the game, but we weren’t quite prepared for how cold it was. We had sweaters and coats, but it was still very, very chilly when the wind picked up. We made it to the bottom of the fourth inning and then headed on home. You can see more pictures on our Lookouts set.

~ Fuller has taken to planning his own day, trying to dictate the schedule of events. He had been telling me we would go to the playground almost every day and I had to keep putting him off due to various little brothers, the weather, and my failing attempts at keeping up with daily chores. Finally on Thursday we headed over to the playground. Fuller amazed me by sharing with a little girl and playing nicely with several other kids. And I had fun taking pictures of him doing Amazing Things like walking on the balance beam and falling down a slide. Check out the playground set here.

~ We took an overnight trip to Auburn for the Auburn Spring game. When we arrived at Grandma Great’s house, she informed us the Vet School was having their Open House in the morning, before the game. With things like horses, teddy bear surgery, and a dog parade to draw us in, we were happy to go and have some fun. There was so much to see and do (including watching a dog getting spayed) we didn’t get to see it all. We will plan better next year, so we can probably see dog agility and sheep herding. But what we did get to see was a lot of fun. Our Vet School Open House pictures are fun to look at!

~ The Auburn A Game (aka Spring Game) was a big deal this year because of the new head coach, Gene Chizik. The crowd was a lot bigger than last year, so it took a little while to find seats. The game was fun to watch, but the real action happened afterward, when the fans were invited onto the field to meet and greet with the players and coaches. People even brought items to be autographed. We originally waited in line like good fans, but soon order became chaos and fans were jumping over the walls (Damon assures me they were low) and favoring crowding around players to orderly single-file lines. Damon Auburn Elvis really wanted a picture with Lee Ziemba, so we sought him out, got the photo, and then headed back to the car to head back to Chattanooga. The Spring Game pictures were fun to take and now we are all looking forward to football season starting in September.

~ Tebow had a rough week last week (reason number one why there has been a lack of updates). To cap it off, he cried screamed practically the entire trip back to Chattanooga. This behavior does not make me entirely thrilled to be taking him on his first plane trip next Tuesday. But, he is now officially two months old. He is cooing and gooing during his awake times and throwing in a few laughs to make us still like him. His sleeping habits still need refining. We aren’t expecting him to sleep through the night right now, but we would prefer some consistency and a few more hours between middle of the night feedings.

~ Damon and I had our 10th wedding anniversary on April 10th. My gift from Damon was The Gospel of John with Desmond from LOST as Jesus. We watched it yesterday and it was a pretty good movie. Even though we knew the plot pretty well, it was engaging and interesting.
I hope not to go so long without updates this week, but I think now I’m caught up on Things I Should Have Blogged About. Which is good, because Tebow is awake again. Need to jostle him back to sleep.
