When we returned from Auburn last week we were met with a broken fridge and quite a messy house. I decided then and there we needed a break.

Fuller and I had been struggling with school, where it was becoming me pulling him along and everyone getting generally frustrated. So we took the week off. I didn’t have restrictions on TV, we went to the playground, the museum, and just relaxed.

And it was great.

What was even better was when we started school again today. Fuller was eager, obedient, and looking forward to what came next.

We were supposed to go on a field trip tomorrow with our homeschool group. Unfortunately it is probably going to rain (AGAIN) so it is being rescheduled. This is field trip number three that has been rescheduled due to rain. I just hope the forecast for Thursday keeps and we can actually make this one up (we haven’t been able to make up the other ones due to travel).

So, besides the field trip messiness, it looks like we are getting back into the groove. And we are happy about it.
