(imaginary) shopping spree

The situation is this: I have been given an imaginary $500 to spend at the online retailer Ramblers Way. With the imaginary $500 I need to decide what to spend it on…
First, I should explain, Rambler’s Way is the online store for Rambler’s Way Farm. They raise sheep to create worsted wool garments, meant for next-to skin use. Some might call it underwear. I think of it as long johns, which sounds less dainty than underwear.
And if you are thinking, “Wool? Isn’t that scratchy?” Well, then you don’t know wool. This wool is superfine meaning it is super soft. So I can see where using it for long johns (or long janes) might be appealing- wool is water repellent, has natural odor control, and excellent insulation.
Ramblers Way Farm is run by the same folks who brought us Tom’s of Maine. If you are familiar with the quality of their product and commitment to renewal and quality resources, then I think you can trust Ramblers Way to provide quality products.
Now, if I were to shop at Ramblers Way, I probably wouldn’t be shopping for myself. This is because they don’t carry my size. But it is an imaginary $500, so I would be shopping for an imaginary me… and the imaginary me would be happy with several of the cross neck long sleeve top.
Add to that several of the Regular Rise Next-to-Skin Long Jane (which I could have used on Saturday!) and I would be very happy with my Ramblers Way purchase. When I’m out an about in cold Ohio this Christmas, it would be perfect for layering and keeping me toasty warm. (I am a big fan of layering to keep warm. I have been known to wear PJs under my jeans just to make sure I don’t freeze my toosh off.)
And with the wealth that $500 could buy, Damon would be getting his own Henley Long Sleeved Shirt. Damon doesn’t like to be cold and I’m sure the wool will keep him very, very warm. Plus it looks really cute.
