I had a kind of Mother’s Weekend, since the first gift I received was the gift of alone time, something I don’t get a ton of these days. While I was alone, the boys and their dad were out making my gifts, a flower pot project at Home Depot.
Later that afternoon I left to get a little prettier (painted toes always make me feel pretty), which also counted as more alone time.
While actual Mother’s Day was marred by a serious headache Damon was dealing with, we did manage to go to Red Robin for lunch and have ice cream for dinner at home. Yes, that is right, I decided we would have ice cream for dinner. It was awesome. With waffle bowls, whipped cream, Magic Shell, and maraschino cherries, how could it not be awesome? (I actually have a thing for Mother’s Day ice cream. Sometimes we go out, this time we stayed in.)
Did you have a good Mother’s Day? I did.
