Greetings from EastRidge Hospital! Iam sitting in my bed, using the free webtv internet, waiting for my breakfast to arrive. I am sore and extremely tired, but I have to stay awake while certain medical personel keep coming & going.
But that isn’t what you care about, is it?
Baby Boy Crumley arrived yesterday at 3:34 pm. He weighed in at 7 lbs. 7 oz. He is 20 3/4 inches long. AND he had red hair! His father named him after watching the cuddle care nurse do whatever they do in the first hours of birth. He decided that our first son shall be named Buckminster Fuller Crumley. Webtv is really difficult so I won’t be adding a link right now to who the first Buckminster Fuller is. Just know that if you know D, the name fits his first son. That is all for now, my breakfast better get here soon. Tales from the hospital will continue later.
We will be leaving the hospital tomorrow afternoon.

Auburn is going to win tomorrow. WAREAGLE!
Oh, and I am 3 cm dialated and contracting consistently until I lay down. Booooooo.
I had a little bit of a breakdown in the doctor’s office yesterday. I was just so tired and feeling so heavy and sore. Once I got to D’s office I was feeling a bit better so I think we can make it another week. That is, if we have to make it another week. The thing about being 3 cm dialated is that I could stay 3 cm for weeks. (So no getting super excited missy- you know who you are.)
The weirdest thing about the appointment (and you might want to file this under TOO MUCH INFORMATION) is that while the doctor was checking me, she could feel the baby’s head! As she kind of tickled him/ her the baby kicked and squirmed. It was uber weird and cool all at the same time.
That is all for now. We will be doing little “getting ready for baby” things this weekend and bracing ourselves for getting through another week.

The latest addition to our baby room is D’s favorite piece of baby gear. We have no diapers to put in it yet, but it still makes throwing away any type of trash fun!

That’s what I would like to know.
Yesterday, D and I were organizing the baby stuff that had been dumped on our house and among the items was this hooded towel. On the hood part of the towel it said, “What does a tiny turtle eat for lunch?” And nowhere does it give the answer!
Yes, we are now overrun with the items from 3 baby showers and the hand-me-downs and we are desperately trying to find the order in the chaos.
Baby showers are amazing. People love to give you things when you are expecting your first baby. It makes me feel so blessed to have all these people around us wanting to help us get together all the things we think we need to raise a child.
And sometimes they give us stuff that we don’t need to raise a child. Which is why there is a little invention called the “returns desk.” (Ask D how many stuffed bears we really need to raise a child.)
I am happy to report that we are pretty much done with the baby’s room. This weekend brought the inlaws with the crib (which D put together in about 20 minutes, only having to correct one mistake) and other items from the Montgomery shower and hand-me-downs from the SIL. We purchased a glider at Wal-Mart (thanks to a gift card and a few returns) and that is now my favorite place to sit in the house. We still need some items like crib sheets and covers for the lighting, but over all I have a sense of peace about our preparedness.
Now, if I could only bring myself to pack for the hospital.
