My mo’s rearrival has set us to yardwork. We are planning a major preventive maintenance attack tomorrow. Enjoy Fuller’s commentary!

At the museum

utterz-image

Fuller and I ventured back to the Creative Discovery Museum so Fuller could fullfill his four day dream of returning to play with Clifford th Big Red Dog.

We spent the morning going in and out of five stores, with the continued promise "we would be going to the museum and Fuller, please just be patient."

Now we are here and Fuller is determined to play on the Riverboat, with no concern with Clifford, T-Bone, or Cleo who wait upstairs.

Kids are so funny.

Fun at Coolidge Park

We decided to spend some time at Coolidge Park, playing in the fountains with Jonas and Heather.

The water is chilled, the sky is overcast, and the air is warm. We are slathered in sunscreen, chomping on snacks, and just enjoying summer.

Leaves of three let it be?

I decided to tackle a small overgrown area of our backyard. It has some legitimate plants we put in a few years ago (honeysuckle and phlox). But my inability to determine the difference between friend or foe (wanted growth and weeds) allowed it to go the way of the jungle.

I started to pull up pretty much everything, with some help from Fuller. When I handed him a stalk of stuff with "leaves of three" I paused.

Honestly, I have no idea if what I am dealing with is poison ivy or not. I just know Damon reacts horribly to the stuff. Damon and Fuller both react horribly to bug bites, so I wonder if Fuller will react in the same way to a vine with a name that begins with poison.

Take a look at this picture and tell me what you think… poison ivy or not?

Leaves of 3? Leave of 3? Leaves of 3?

Chattanooga’s Armed Forces Day Parade

Yesterday our family took the bus downtown for the annual Armed Forces Day Parade. Fuller really got into the marching and drums.

I love that Chattanooga does this parade every year. The military is a big part of our lives, since it is who employs my dad and I was a military brat through most of my teen years. Going to the parade every year is just a small way we can support our troops.

I’m still working on titling and tagging pictures on Flickr, but you know I took plenty!

Stopping to smell the flowers

My mom (aka Vieja) left for work this morning, but asked Fuller to do a morning chore of picking up sticks. This has dissolved into Fuller picking danleeONS (dandilions) with no interest in finishing the stick request.

It’s a beautiful morning in Ohio. I really don’t mind stopping to smell the flowers.

After Mom’s Group

After Mom’s Group Fuller and I walked to the "downtown" St. Elmo area. Lunch of pizza was appreciated by my always-hungry little boy. After he declares he is done (or I tell him) we will head out and about for a small photowalk.

I love Spring. Sigh.

Fuller can be bought

Fuller also can be bought. He agreed to get his haircut for a trip to Mr. T’s for ice cream. He still pitched a fit. but his hair looks great!

Morning chat with Fuller

Aunt Stina was amazed with how Fuller likes to talk and tell it like it is. So, I wanted to share our little morning chat.
