E-learning in the corporate environment

E-learning is especially effective when a company implements new software or updated versions of the previous ones, as well as the introduction of new business processes and practices. In such cases, it is quite important to quickly close a knowledge gap in the field of information technology or in the development of new business skills, which is ensured through e-learning.

For example, in order to train all personnel to work with a new software application, it is advisable to organize this process as an individual one, at the workplace. At the same time, e-learning can have a whole range of implementation types, for example:

• autonomous or self-governing;

• training directed by a virtual instructor.

In practice, e-learning has the ability to meet at least three critical business needs:

• to train employees according to individual training plans much faster and more cost-effectively;

• ensure more efficient and timely knowledge sharing;

• to provide a unified corporate standard of knowledge and maintain a certain level of personnel training.
